Rainy nights.

“Sunday morning rain is falling
Steal some covers share some skin
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
You twist to fit the mold that I am in.”

My perfect Sunday morning.
I finally understood what Adam Levine was singing about.

Cause you are the piece of me, I wish I didn’t need.
Chasing relentlessly, still fight and I don’t know why.
If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy?
If our love’s insanity, why are you my clarity?

I knew you were trouble when you walked in.

She’s just a girl, and she’s on fire
Hotter than a fantasy, lonely like a highway
She’s living in a world, and it’s on fire
Feeling the catastrophe, but she knows she can fly away

It’s in the stars
It’s been written in the scars on our hearts
We’re not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

This sentence is taken from “Somebody that I used to know” by Gotye.

The first time I came across this line, I was immensely attracted to it, to its truth, its meaning.

Because it is indeed true, you can indeed get addicted to a certain kind of sadness.

The kind of sadness that eats you inside out, that makes you feel like dying but doesn’t kill you just yet.

The kind of addiction that drives you crazy. The kind of addiction that reminds you every single minute. It’s the first thing in your mind the minute you wake up, the last thing on your mind before you sleep.

But above all the torment, you crave for it. You long for it. You search for it. The sadness. It’s an ugly relationship.

You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness.

93 million miles from the sun
People get ready, get ready
Cause here it comes, it’s a light
A beautiful light, over the horizon
Into our eyes
Oh, my my how beautiful
Oh my beautiful mother
She told me, son in life you’re gonna go far
If you do it right, you’ll love where you are
Just know, wherever you go
You can always come home
