“If you’ve got heroin, nothing matters. It gives you constancy in a forever changing world.” -Russell Brand

Reading about his interview with Esquire magazine over my Saturday breakfast at Wild Honey@Scotts.

Fascinating insights.
Definitely changed my view towards him, and even a little about the world.

I used to think he was the bad ass who broke Katy Perry’s heart. Maybe it is still the truth, I wouldn’t know.
But he seems to come off as, quite a psychologically challenged persona, being put under the spotlight.
His childhood definitely explained so much about his addictions & stuff, but he’s not being self-pity about it, unlike most people with challenged childhood.

Hammering dead rats & birds and throwing them off the stage to the audience, to him, it’s just rearranging atoms.
Weird how I’ve never come across the concept of “rearranging atoms” before.

He admits to attention seeking.
He gets naked during his stand-ups, metaphorically of course, or maybe not.

“Reality can become anything. It’s only the result of ideas of people like you. Catholicism is only an idea. Wednesday is only an idea. None of these things are real…”

Such intriguing concept he has adopted. I think I might just get won over by his concepts if I continue to read about him.

At this point of time, I would love to meet him, or perhaps, be an observer to his daily life.
